“The hotel was opened in 2003 – the same year as the golf course.”
Hotel Veckefjärden is located on the Veckefjärden inlet, with beautiful views over the water and Veckefjärden Golf Course.
We have 16 comfortable rooms that sleep up to 34 people. All rooms have a TV and either private or shared bathrooms. Breakfast is included and coffee and tea are available at all times. The breakfast room has plenty of space to be used as a meeting venue.
Right by the hotel is an outdoor pool and sauna. The main building also has a leisure area with a spa pool.
Free WiFi is included, as is parking with motor heaters. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner during the golfing season.
Veckefjärden is often referred to as “Foppa’s Golf Course” as it was Foppa himself (Peter Forsberg) and his father Kent who took the initiative to build a course out on Veckefjärden inlet, just two kilometres south of Örnsköldsvik.
The course opened in 2003 and since the start has been ranked as one of northern Sweden’s best golf courses. There is both an 18-hole course and a 9-hole short course; both courses have open landscapes and forested areas.
